There are forces out there that would like to see you fail. Furthermore, there are forces that are purely evil and would like to see the world burn.

With that being said, such forces only stop when they are met with opposition.

Luckily a majority of these forces are stopped well before they reach our inner circle of peace. Whether it be a terrorist threat, a thwarted plan, or a major crisis adverted, the dangers are always out there.

If we can agree on that, perhaps we can also agree that some threats can fall through the cracks. When that happens, the burden of protection is now on those who choose to take up the sword.

Not only am I thankful for these men & women, I’m also inspired by them. Imagine the selflessness it takes to put yourself in a positions where your life will likely be spared for someone else’s.

Thank you for everyone who takes that step in front of their peers to face the threat first.

For those of us who choose to take up the sword, It’s not a decision or responsibility that should be taken lightly. At the end of the day, we are talking about life and death.

Ultimately, I believe it comes down to who we want to be when the call of duty is upon us. Will we be an asset or a liability?

If we choose the route of asset, it’s a lifelong commitment to growth, discipline, and discernment.

If that sounds a bit extreme, good.

Our guest today Scott Puckett, doesn’t take his responsibility lightly. As the operational director of the Sawmill Training Complex, Scott works with active and retired military, law enforcement officers, and more to train capable citizens and responsible gun owners.

Just because we live in a dangerous world, it doesn’t mean we have to shy away from living it. There are plenty of people able and willing to take up the sword of defense in order to serve their community, their neighbors, and their families.

Join us Tim Pecoraro and I sit down with Scott Puckett of The Sawmill Training Complex. We are so thankful he took the time to share his insights, lessons, and knowledge with us. May we all learn to be as capable and responsible as Scott.

This episode would not be possible without the talented eye of Elias Jose Falero of Falero Studios and the continued commitment of Andrej Suttles of Suttlesolution Media.
