The panel is back together.
When Charles Russ, Jared Emerson, Tyler Harris and I sat down last time, we discussed what it meant to be a modern man and some of the obstacles and challenges we face in today’s society. If you haven’t, please go check out our first Modern Man Sit Down to catch up to the conversation.
One of the points we touched on a lot during our conversation was the importance of connecting with other men. As the discussion went deeper, we realized that many men aren’t taught how to communicate, let alone understand their emotions. This can be an issue for anyone going through personal struggles or feeling stressed in their everyday lives.
With better conversation skills we can communicate with other men, our spouses, and our children. We also take things a step further and touch on the importance of taking the time to understand our emotions. Instead of defaulting to the general emotions of Happy vs. Mad, we ask men to extend their emotional pallet and analyze other feelings.
In order to effectively broach this topic, we consult Jonathan Parker. Jonathan is a creative thought leader, conversationalist, and speaker. His journey to become a better communicator has led to him impacting many across the country in The Art of Conversation.
He joins us to share his thoughts on how men can communicate and better be understood. This one is sure to leave you with valuable tips to apply in your everyday conversations.
